The skin is the largest organ of the human body, therefore changes to one’s health (on either side of the spectrum) is often noticeable somewhere on the skin. Yes, doing regular handstands can definitely give you a fit body & yummy looking skin like Normani, yet it’s best for you start with simple forms (poses) that you can do at home, when you travel, work and play. Whether your new to Yoga, a curious enthusiast or an avid practitioner, this blog will give you a little motivation to stay committed & do Yoga every night.

YOGIC BREATHING
Conscious awareness of breathing is the very essence of Yoga. That is why all (good) yoga classes start with pranayama: Yogic breathing techniques. Controlled breathing is a wonderful way to get more oxygen in your body, the result: glowing skin. The Black Bee technique  is a breath practice that can improve the health of your mind, body and spirit. The buzzing sound you emit during the practice can alleviate emotional suffering and drown out any mental tape loops created by negative experiences. Like other yogic breathing techniques, Black Bee can have soothing effects on the autonomic nervous system (ANS). When you practice the Black Bee breathing technique & you lengthen the exhalation in relation to the inhalation, the calming parasympathetic branch of the ANS becomes active. If you feel stressed or anxious while you are at work, or in a public place, practice the silent variation of the Black Bee breathing technique.

MOUNTAIN POSE

Mountain pose is a simple standing form you can shift into after a breath practice. This pose will support your ability to concentrate on deep and rhythmic breathing. A vital element of glowing skin is getting more oxygen in the body. If you can practice mountain pose outdoors (in the presence of lush trees), the fresh air will help your body release harmful toxins and keep that beautiful skin looking yummy. Additionally, mountain pose can improve your posture by strengthening your ankles, knees and thighs and increasing the strength, power, and mobility in your feet, legs, and hips.
